HD Homme Spring/Summer 2015

Perhaps nothing gets the World MasterCard Fashion Week crowd going like a well-dressed man. If so, then the HD Homme Spring/Summer 2015 runway presentation delivered dapper gents in spades.

Taking our vote for best menswear showing of the season, the luxurious, Toronto-based label showcased extravagantly flamboyant and edgy looks reminiscent of Versace. Bold prints and colours, structured tailoring, and luxe, satiny materials are all signature trademarks of the collection that had WMCFW guests, including THE BRUNETTES, excited for each and every piece as they were unveiled.

Hayley Elsaesser Spring/Summer 2015

Presenting a heavenly and downright fun line of cosmically inspired pieces, the Hayley Elsaesser Spring/Summer 2015 collection had the typically expressionless faces of the World MasterCard Fashion Week audience all in smiles with its playful use of electric colours and interstellar prints.

Printed playsuits, sequined crop tops, and a Crayola-box pallet reinforced the notion of fashion as a tool of individuality and freedom of expression, while also reminding one not to take it too seriously, making the Hayley Elsaesser Spring/Summer 2015 collection both youthfully nostalgic and appropriately adult at the same time.

THE BRUNETTES @ the ‘Unfamous Man of Style & Influence’ Event

Hosted by fashionista-extraordinaire Gail McInnes of Magnet Creative Management, the ‘Unfamous Man of Style & Influence’ event celebrated world-renowned, Canadian artist Gary Taxali and the launch of his second pocket square collaboration produced exclusively for Harry Rosen.

Available in select retail locations and on www.harryrosen.com, the Gary Taxali for Unfamous ‘The Art of Flirtation’ collection is made up of five limited-edition pocket squares, all of which feature iconic prints by the artist and are crafted from 100% Italian silk.

Designed to add a playful touch to any menswear look, Taxali’s prints illustrate the flirtatious side of both fashion and humanity.

Giving fans of art and fashion an opportunity to purchase a piece from the line and have it signed by the acclaimed artist, the ‘Unfamous Man of Style & Influence’ event was a lively way to kickoff the capsule collection and meet the man behind it all.

THE BRUNETTES @ the Desigual Grand Opening Party

With an art installation of bottles made from both clear and blue glass suspended from its ceiling, perhaps, there was no more fitting a location for Toronto’s first Desigual store then in the city’s historic Distillery District.

Although the brand has been available in select Hudson’s Bay stores and specialty boutiques across Canada for many years, the Distillery District celebrated Toronto’s first, flagship location with a grand-opening party last Wednesday in the store’s impressive, new space.

Those who were invited to the store’s soirée, were able to enjoy a generous 20% off their purchases, Spanish wine and tapas, and a gift bag filled with beauty products to help complete their new looks.

Located on 7 Trinity St., the Desigual store carries a full range of ladieswear, as well as a great selection for children and men. Known for its interesting mix of textiles, bold colours, and flamboyant patterns, the label’s signature style offers fashion enthusiasts an affordable way to brighten up their wardrobes for the upcoming winter season.

DENT de MAN Spring/Summer 2015 Lookbook

The DENT de MAN Spring/Summer 2015 lookbook embraces vibrant colours and ethnic prints. Designed for the modern bohemian, this menswear range features bright suits, oversized tunics and graphically patterned tops.

The collection is worn by a long-haired model that pulls off turquoise locks and matching stone accessories. He also dons ethnic pashmina scarves that add an additional layer of colour to his already vibrant ensembles.

This psychedelic catalog's mixes of prints leaves one in anticipation for summer. Its menswear looks are both vivid and wearable, an aesthetic that is synonymous with the DENT de MAN brand vision.
