Contemporary Canadiana Couture: Tuck Shop Trading Co. Makes Clothing for Both the City and the Cottage

Inspired by both cottage country and the big city, designer Lyndsay Borschke has created a warm and cozy collection of luxurious outerwear, contemporary casualwear, and must-have accessories under her newly established Tuck Shop Trading Co. and City of Neighbourhoods labels.

While the City of Neighbourhoods brand celebrates Borschke's patriotic love for all the hangouts that make Toronto such a happening place to live, Tuck Shop Trading Co. offers a laid-back, yet luxe, selection of cottage coats, recycled furs, and fine leather clutches that evoke a more rustic, charming, and nostalgic sense of Canadiana style.

Hip sweatshirts, toques, and tees all honouring Toronto's greatest postal codes shown in contrast—more like in compliment—to buffalo-checked wears with snowshoe insignias were just some of the pieces that we had the pleasure to try on for ourselves when THE BRUNETTES attended a private showing of Borschke's full collections at her Toronto home. Both brands seem to have a deep appreciation for Canadian heritage, tradition, and culture, which was not only reflected in Lyndsay Borschke's designs, but also in her home, her personal style, and ... her personal stories.
